Help shoppers find and share your shop

Shoppers can find your shop by typing part of its name into the Esano search box. You can also copy your shop address from your seller hub and share it anywhere.

How shop name search works

Shops are searched separately from files:

• While typing: up to three matching shops appear at the top of the suggestions, labeled Shop. Choosing one opens the shop.
• After searching: matching shops show above the file results, and the Shops tab shows shops only, 12 per page.
• What matches: the shop's name or its web address, ignoring capital letters and punctuation. The words must be typed in the same order as in the name.
• Order: an exact name first, then names that start with what was typed, then names that contain it.

"love that" or "love-that-for-you" can find "Love That For You". Shop search has no spelling correction and no synonyms, so a short, distinctive name is easier to find than a long one. See Search for a shop by name for the shopper's view.

A shop is listed only when it has at least one listing for sale with an approved photo, its payments are set up and it isn't on vacation. A shop on vacation keeps its page, but leaves search and the Shops list until it's back. See Turn on vacation mode.

Set your tagline

Your tagline appears under your shop name and on your shop's cards. It is also used in the text search engines show for your shop page.

1. Go to Settings → Shop → Shop profile → Tagline.
2. Enter one line of up to 80 characters, such as "Hand-painted watercolor clip art".
3. Select Save tagline.

Let shoppers search inside your shop

Every shop page has a Search this shop box. It reads your titles, search keywords, categories, file types and descriptions. All the words typed must match, and the best matches come first:

1. A listing whose title is exactly what was typed.
2. Listings whose titles contain every word typed.
3. All other matches, from keywords, categories and descriptions.

Organize your shop with groups

Shop groups are your own sections, such as "Halloween" or "Wedding". Buyers see them as tabs on your shop page and can filter by them. A listing can be in several groups, and you can have up to 10, with names up to 24 characters. Groups are for browsing your shop, not for search. See Create and manage shop groups.

Share your shop link

1. Go to Settings → Shop → Shop details → Shop address.
2. Select it to open your shop, then copy the address from your browser. If your shop is on vacation, the address shows as plain text, so copy it from there.

Your shop address looks like esano.com/shop/your-shop-name. A link to a single listing looks like esano.com/l/123456/your-listing-title. Paste either one into a post, a message or your email signature.

When you pick a shop group or a filter, the address changes. Copy that address to share a specific group of listings.

When a link is shared, apps that show previews can use the title and cover image of the page. A shop page uses the image of its newest listing.
