Add an announcement to your shop

Write a notice in Seller hub → Marketing → Announcement. The owner and Managers can show one line above the shop banner, with an optional date for it to stop showing.

Write and show an announcement

Save the notice and its display settings together:

1. Open Marketing and choose Announcement.
2. Under Show an announcement, tick Show it.
3. Enter Announcement text, up to 120 characters.
4. Optionally set Show until.
5. Select Save changes under Save these details.

The checkbox doesn't save by itself. Save changes saves the text, checkbox and date together. Discard restores the saved version.

Use plain text without links, email addresses or phone numbers. Extra spaces and line breaks become a single line. An empty announcement doesn't show, even with Show it ticked.

Set an end date

Show until is the last day your announcement can show, using UTC. It hides after that date. Because public shop pages refresh periodically, an expired notice may take a few minutes to disappear.

Leave the date empty to show the notice until you turn it off. An end date doesn't close the shop or change its purchasing controls.

Hide or update the notice

Untick Show it and select Save changes to hide the announcement without deleting its text. To change the text or date, edit the fields and save again.

Select Preview your shop or View shop to check the public result. Buyers see the announcement above the banner on your shop pages, with Updated and the date when its text last changed.

For a pause in purchasing, use vacation mode. For a longer introduction, use your About section.
