Create a listing on Esano

Updated

To create a listing, open your Seller hub, go to Listings, and select New listing. Esano opens an empty draft in the listing editor. Nothing is visible to buyers until you publish it.

Before you start

You need an Esano shop. If you haven't opened one yet, see open an Esano shop. If you're on a shop team, you need the Owner, Manager or Listings role to create listings.

Have your photos and the files buyers will download ready. Photos are JPG, PNG or WebP.

Create a draft

  1. Go to Seller hub → Listings.
  2. Select New listing. If your shop can't be paid yet, the button says New draft instead. Drafts work the same way.
  3. The editor opens at a new listing number. The header shows the listing's status and Listing followed by its number.

Fill in the editor

The editor is one page with five sections. Fill them in any order.

  1. Photos and files: add up to 5 Photos (the first is the cover) and the Files buyers download. See listing photo rules.
  2. Details: the Title, Category, Description, Shop groups, Works with and Search keywords. See writing a title and description and category, keywords and groups.
  3. Price and licenses: your Personal price, an optional Original price for a sale, and the Commercial and Extended licenses. See setting a price.
  4. File specs: optional Dimensions, DPI and Color space.
  5. Custom orders: the Offer personalized versions checkbox.

Save your work

Select Save changes at the bottom of the editor. The status line next to the badge tells you where you are:

  • Unsaved changes means you've typed something that isn't saved yet.
  • All changes saved. means everything is stored.
  • Only you can see this draft. means the listing isn't live.

A draft can be incomplete. You can save it without a category, price or description. The one thing a save always needs is a Title of 3 to 140 characters. If a field has a problem, the editor marks it and shows Some fields need a fix. They're marked above.

Publish when it's ready

Select Publish once the listing has a title, category, price, description, at least one photo and at least one approved file. The full list, and what each error message means, is in publish a listing.

Paid listings also need payouts set up. Free-only listings don't. See connect Stripe to get paid and sell a file for free.

Find your drafts later

Drafts appear in the Drafts tab on the Listings page. Until a draft is complete, its row shows what is still missing, for example Missing: photos, price.

Common questions

Do I have to finish a listing in one sitting?

No. Every new listing starts as a draft that only you can see. Save it and come back whenever you like.

Can I add photos and files before I write a title?

Yes. The editor opens with an empty draft, so you can upload photos and files right away. You need a title of at least 3 characters to save the details.

Does it cost anything to create a listing?

No. Creating and listing files is free. Esano's fee applies only when you make a sale.
