To get paid on Esano, connect your shop to Stripe: go to Seller hub → Payouts and select Connect with Stripe. You finish on Stripe's secure site, and it takes about 5 minutes.
What you need first
- A shop owned by you. Only the shop owner sees Payouts and connects Stripe.
- To be based in the United States, with a US Stripe account. Selling on Esano is currently available only to sellers based in the United States. See who can sell on Esano.
- Your identity details and the bank account you want to be paid into.
If you already use Stripe, sign in there and connect the account you have.
Connect your shop
- Open Seller hub and select Payouts.
- Select Connect with Stripe.
- Follow Stripe's steps: confirm your identity and add your bank account. Stripe also collects the tax details it needs for your annual tax form. See add your tax information in Stripe.
- When Stripe sends you back to Esano, check your Payout account section.
If you leave Stripe halfway, return to Payouts and select Continue on Stripe to pick up where you left off.
Connect during shop setup, or skip it
Right after you select Open my shop, the How you get paid screen appears with What to expect and an example: if a buyer pays $5.00, the Esano fee of 20% is $1.00 and you earn $4.00. Select Connect with Stripe to finish now, or Do this later to skip.
If you skip, your shop is still open and the last setup screen lists Set up payouts as Needed to sell. Until you connect:
- You can build drafts. The button on your Listings page reads New draft instead of New listing.
- Paid listings can't be published. The listing editor says "Paid listings unlock once payouts are set up."
- Seller hub shows "Set up payouts to start selling." with a Connect with Stripe button.
Who sees your bank details
Stripe keeps your bank details. Esano never sees them. Your Payout account section shows only the bank's name and the last four digits of the account, so you can tell which account is connected.
What happens next
Stripe usually approves your details within a few minutes. Your Payout account badge changes to Connected, and any paid listings that were hidden come back on their own.
Until Stripe approves you:
- Buyers can't see your paid listings, and you can't publish new paid ones. You can still build drafts.
- Free-only listings can be published. They show on your shop page and in category pages, but not in Esano search results or on Trending.
You can open a shop first and connect later.
What the badge says
- Not connected: you haven't started. Select Connect with Stripe.
- Not finished: you started but didn't finish. Select Continue on Stripe.
- Action needed: Stripe needs one more thing. Select Finish on Stripe. See what to do when Stripe needs more information.
- Stripe is reviewing: Stripe is checking your details. This usually takes a few minutes.
- Connected: payouts are on.
After you connect
- Each sale becomes eligible for payout after a 14-day hold. See the 14-day payout hold.
- Esano sends bank payouts every other Friday with a $25 minimum after deductions. See payout schedule and the $25 minimum.
- To change your bank account later, see change your payout bank account.
