Listing photos are JPG, PNG or WebP images up to 20 MB each. You can add up to 5, and the first one is your cover. Esano crops the cover to a square, and it needs to be at least 1000 × 1000 pixels.

The editor says: "JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 20 MB each. Square photos at 2000 px or more look sharpest (1000 px at least)." It also shows how many you've added, for example "2 of 5 added."
The help text under Photos reads: "What buyers see first. The first photo is the cover. Drag to reorder."
What Esano does to your photo
When you add a photo, Esano:
- Checks the real file type and size, not just the file name.
- Applies the orientation your camera or app saved.
- Converts colors to sRGB and keeps transparency.
- Removes hidden metadata from the image.
- Never enlarges it. A 1200-pixel image stays at 1200 pixels.
The full image is kept for the listing's photo gallery. Only the cover and thumbnails use your square crop. Purchased files are never cropped or changed by this. They are delivered exactly as you uploaded them. See preview photos vs the files buyers download.
Messages you might see
- "previews must be JPG, PNG or WebP." The file type isn't supported.
- "is over the 20 MB limit." Shrink or re-export the image.
- "Up to 5 preview images." Remove one before adding another.
- "Images can be up to 40 megapixels." Resize the image.
- "That image couldn't be opened. Use a JPG, PNG or WebP image." The file is damaged or not an image.
- "Use a crop of at least 1000 × 1000 pixels. Choose a larger image or zoom out." The crop box is too small.
Photos and publishing
A listing needs at least one photo to be published: "Add at least one preview image before publishing." You also can't remove the last photo of a live listing. Esano shows "A live listing needs at least one preview and one file. Unpublish it first, or add another."
