To publish your first listing you need at least one photo, at least one file buyers download, a title, a description of at least 20 characters, a category and a price. Paid listings also need payouts set up.
This page is a quick checklist. For the full walkthrough of the listing editor, see create a listing on Esano.
Before you start
- Your shop is open. See open an Esano shop.
- Payouts are connected. You can build drafts without this, but paid listings cannot be published until Stripe is set up. See set up payouts when you open a shop.
- You have the rights to your files. Everything you sell must be your own work or work you are allowed to sell. See copyright and original work rules for sellers.
Create your first listing
- Open Seller hub and select Listings.
- Select New listing. It reads New draft until payouts are connected.
- Under Photos and files, add your Photos and your Files buyers download.
- Under Details, fill in Title, Description and Category.
- Under Price and licenses, set a price for each license.
- Select Save changes to keep a draft.
- When everything is ready, select Publish.
The checklist
- Photos: At least one. The first photo is the cover. JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 20 MB each, and up to 5 per listing. Square photos at 2000 px or more look sharpest, and 1000 px is the minimum. See listing photo sizes and requirements.
- Files buyers download: At least one. Up to 5 files per listing, up to 1 GB each and 5 GB total. Every file goes through Esano's upload checks. See upload files to a listing.
- Title: What the file is and what it is for. Buyers search with these words. It can be 3 to 140 characters.
- Description: At least 20 characters, up to 5,000. Say what is in the download, the sizes, and how buyers can use it.
- Category: It decides where buyers find the listing. See what you can sell on Esano.
- Price and licenses: A listing can be free ($0) or at least $1.00. See set a price and run a sale on a listing.
- Payouts connected: Needed for paid listings.
After you publish
Your listing gets its own page on Esano and appears in the category you chose. To help buyers find it, read how Esano search ranks listings.
You can also add a logo and banner so your shop looks finished.
Common questions
Why does Seller hub say New draft instead of New listing?
Your shop cannot publish yet because payouts are not set up. You can still build drafts, and the button changes to New listing once payouts are connected.
