Unpublish or delete a listing

Updated

Use Unpublish to take a live listing off Esano and keep it as a draft. Use Delete to remove it for good. A listing that has sold can only be unpublished, because its buyers still download the files.

Unpublish a listing

Unpublishing returns the listing to Draft. Only you can see it, and you can publish it again later.

From the editor:

  1. Open the listing from Seller hub → Listings.
  2. Select Unpublish. It shows Unpublishing….

From the listings page, open the ••• menu on the row and select Unpublish. A message confirms: "Unpublished. Only you can see it now."

Your details, photos, files and price stay as they were. To bring it back, select Publish. See publish a listing. If you only need a break, vacation mode pauses orders on your whole shop instead.

Unpublish several listings

  1. On the Listings page, tick the box next to each listing, or use Select all shown listings.
  2. A bar appears with the number selected. Select Unpublish.

The button shows only when at least one selected listing is live. It works on up to 100 listings at a time.

Delete a listing

Deleting removes the listing's details, photos and files for good.

  1. Open the listing's editor, or open the ••• menu on its row.
  2. Select Delete.
  3. In Delete this listing?, read the warning: "Its details, photos and files are removed for good. This can't be undone."
  4. Select Delete listing.

You return to the Listings page.

Delete several listings

Tick the listings, then select Delete in the bar. The dialog says Delete 3 listings? with your number. Select Delete listings to confirm.

Esano deletes each one separately. If some have sales, you'll see a message such as "1 has sales, so it stays: buyers still download the files. Unpublish instead." The other listings are still deleted. You can delete up to 100 at once.

Listings with sales

A listing with sales is never deleted. The single-listing message is: "This listing has sales, and buyers still download its files. Unpublish it instead." After you unpublish it, new buyers can't find it, but past buyers keep their downloads. See download files you bought.

Who can do this

You need the Owner, Manager or Listings role. If your shop is suspended, Delete and Unpublish are disabled in the editor and its listings can't be changed. See shop team roles and what each can do and why Esano hid, suspended or closed your shop.
