Upload files to a listing

Open your listing, go to Photos and files, and use Add files for what buyers download or Add photos for the pictures buyers see first.

Upload the files buyers download

1. Go to Listings and open the listing.
2. Go to Photos and files → Files buyers download.
3. Select Add files and choose your files. You can also drag files onto the box.
4. Watch each file's row while it uploads and is checked.
5. When the row disappears, the file is in your list with its name and size.

You can add up to 5 files of up to 1 GB each. Put several files in a ZIP if you need more. See file size and count limits.

Upload listing photos

1. In Photos, select Add photos and choose a JPG, PNG or WebP image.
2. Crop the image in the Crop listing image window, then select Use crop.
3. The photo uploads and is checked like any other file.

The first photo is the cover. Drag photos to reorder them. See listing photo sizes and requirements for the rules.

What happens after you upload

• Files upload one at a time, so a big batch takes a while.
• Esano then checks each file for type problems and viruses. See how Esano scans your files for viruses.
• A file only appears in your list once it passes. Until then, buyers can't get it.
• Esano works out the file formats for you. There's no format field to fill in.

Before you publish

A live listing needs at least one photo and one approved file. If you try to publish without them, Esano tells you to add a preview image or upload the files buyers will download. You also can't remove the last photo or file from a live listing. Unpublish it first, or add another. See publish a listing so buyers can find it.

If something goes wrong

• The upload row shows an error: see fix a failed upload.
• A file shows Blocked: see fix a blocked file.
• You want to swap files on a listing that's already for sale: see replace files on a live listing.
