Crop, reorder and remove listing photos

Updated

Each listing photo opens a crop dialog when you add it. Drag the first photo to change your cover, use Crop under a photo to adjust it later, and use Remove to take one off.

Add a photo and crop it

  1. Open your listing and find Photos and files → Photos.
  2. Select Add photos, or drop images onto the section. You can add several at once.
  3. For each image, the Crop listing image dialog opens. The upload row shows Choose a crop.
  4. Drag the image to position it, or use the controls. Zoom makes the crop box smaller so you can pick a part of the picture. Horizontal and Vertical move it.
  5. Select Use crop. Select Reset crop first if you want to start over with the largest centered square.
  6. Wait for the upload and check to finish.

The dialog reminds you: "Your listing gallery still shows the full image. Purchased files are never cropped." It also shows "Recommended: 2000 × 2000 px · Minimum crop: 1000 × 1000 px". Zoom stops when the crop reaches the minimum.

Select Cancel to skip an image. It won't be uploaded.

Change a crop later

  1. Find the photo in Photos.
  2. Select Crop under it.
  3. The Crop listing image dialog opens on your saved crop. Adjust it and select Use crop.

Esano keeps your original upload, so you can re-crop without uploading again. A new crop has to meet the current 1000 × 1000 minimum.

Choose the cover and reorder

The first photo is the cover and carries a Cover tag.

  • Mouse or pen: press on a photo and drag it to a new spot.
  • Touch: press and hold for a moment, then drag.
  • Keyboard: focus a photo and press the arrow keys to move it. Press Home to make it the cover.

Esano saves the new order right away. If it can't, you'll see "Couldn't save the photo order. Check your connection and try again." and the photos return to their saved order.

Remove a photo

Select Remove under the photo. A live listing must keep at least one photo and one file, so you'll see "A live listing needs at least one preview and one file. Unpublish it first, or add another." if you try to remove the last one. Add a replacement first, then remove the old one.

For sizes, formats and limits, see listing photo sizes and requirements. For tips on which photo shoppers should see first, see choose listing photos that get clicks. Purchased files are separate from these photos. See preview photos vs the files buyers download.
