Opening an Esano shop is free. When a file sells, Esano keeps 20% of the item price and you keep 80%. When Esano sends money to your bank, Stripe's payout fees come out of that payout at cost.
The three fees
- Shop setup fee: Free. You never pay it. There is no subscription and no monthly plan from Esano.
- Esano fee: 20% of the item price. You pay it only when you make a sale. Card processing is included.
- Stripe payout fees: at Stripe's cost. You pay them when money goes to your bank.
That is the full list. There is no fee to upload a listing, and listings never expire or need renewing.
The Esano fee
Esano keeps 20% of each item price and you keep 80%. Esano pays card processing and sales tax calculation fees out of its 20%, so those never reduce your 80%.
Free listings have no fee, because there is no sale amount to take a share of.
Sales tax is separate. If a buyer pays tax, it is added on top of the price and is not part of your 80% or Esano's 20%. See how sales tax affects your earnings for how that works.

Stripe's payout fees
Stripe charges a fee for paying you, and Esano passes it on at cost with no markup. It is:
- $2 for each calendar month in which you receive a payout, and
- 0.25% + 25¢ for each payout.
Esano shows these on every payout and itemizes each one. For worked examples, read Stripe payout fees explained.
What else can be deducted
Only a few other things can come out of your earnings: a failed payout fee when wrong bank details caused it, any amount your shop owes after a refund or lost dispute, and the actual cost of filing your annual tax form. See what can come out of your payout for the whole list, and tax costs and fees for sellers for the tax form cost.
Fee changes
Esano gives you at least 14 days' notice before it changes any platform fee. The fees on this page don't include VAT or similar taxes that may apply.
The full seller terms are in the Retailer terms of the Esano Terms of Use. For a plain-language summary of the fee rules, see fee and payment rules in Esano's terms.
