File size and count limits for listings

A listing can hold up to 5 downloadable files of up to 1 GB each, with 5 GB in total, plus up to 5 photos of up to 20 MB each.

Limits for each listing

Files buyers download

• Up to 5 files per listing
• Up to 1 GB per file (1,000,000,000 bytes)
• Up to 5 GB for all files together

Listing photos

• Up to 5 photos per listing
• Up to 20 MB per photo (20,000,000 bytes)
• Up to 100 MB for all photos together
• JPG, PNG or WebP only

Sizes use decimal units: 1 GB is 1,000,000,000 bytes and 1 MB is 1,000,000 bytes. Your computer may show a slightly different number.

When a listing is full, the Add files button and the Add photos tile are replaced by "You've added the maximum of 5 files." or "You've added the maximum of 5 photos." Remove one to make room.

Limits for custom order deliveries

When you deliver finished custom work, each delivery round can include:

• Up to 20 files
• Up to 1 GB per file
• Up to 5 GB for all files in the round

See deliver the final files for a custom order for how deliveries work.

Other image limits

• Shop logo and banner: 10 MB each. See add or change your shop logo and banner.
• Images (listing photos and others): up to 40 megapixels. See listing photo sizes and requirements.

Smaller limits for some file types

A few types have lower caps than 1 GB because Esano inspects their contents closely. For example, SVG, TXT, CSV, TSV and JSON files can be up to 20 MB, and STL and OBJ 3D models up to 200 MB. See what each file type must meet for the full list.

What ZIP files change

A ZIP counts as one file toward the 5-file limit, and its 1 GB limit applies to the ZIP itself. Esano also limits how much a ZIP can expand to when opened. That is how you fit a whole set of files into one listing. See ZIP files for listings.

If you go over a limit

Esano refuses the upload right away and shows the reason in the upload row, for example "Files can be up to 1 GB (1,000,000,000 bytes)." or "Up to 5 files." Shrink the file, split it into several ZIPs, or remove a file you no longer need. See fix a failed upload for every message and what to do.
