Choose which licenses to offer on a listing

Updated

Every listing sells a Personal license. You can also offer Commercial and Extended licenses by ticking their boxes in Price and licenses and giving each a price.

What each license means

Buyers see these terms on your listing.

  • Personal: "Personal projects, no selling." Buyers can use the files in their own non-commercial projects, such as home prints, gifts, personal social posts and school work. Anything made with them can't be sold.
  • Commercial: "Client work and products, up to 5,000 sales." Buyers can use the files in client work and in products they sell, up to 5,000 units across all products. Credit is appreciated but not required.
  • Extended: "Unlimited sales and print-on-demand." Everything in Commercial with no unit cap, including print-on-demand stores.

No license allows buyers to resell, share or redistribute the original files as they are, including in free packs or AI training sets. For how buyers see licenses, read Esano license types explained.

Offer Commercial or Extended

  1. Open your listing from Seller hub → Listings.
  2. Go to Price and licenses. Commercial and Extended each have a checkbox.
  3. Tick the ones you want to sell. A ticked box opens that license's price field.
  4. Enter a price, or keep the suggested one.
  5. Select Save changes.

On a brand-new listing, both boxes start ticked. After that, a license is offered when it has a price. Untick a box and the price field shows Not offered.

Suggested prices

Once you've entered a Personal price, Esano suggests Commercial at 2 times that price and Extended at 5 times. The editor shows "Suggested: 2× Personal." under the field. These are only suggestions. As soon as you type in a license's price field, it stops following the Personal price.

Under each price the editor also shows what you earn from it, after Esano's 20% fee. See what fees Esano charges sellers.

Price rules

  • Personal: $0, or $1.00 to $1,000.
  • Commercial: at least the Personal price, up to $5,000. Error: "Commercial must be at least the Personal price (up to $5,000)."
  • Extended: at least the Commercial price (or the Personal price if you don't offer Commercial), up to $10,000. Error: "Extended must be at least the Commercial price (up to $10,000)."
  • Like Personal, a paid license is at least $1.00. Below that you'll see "Use $0 for free or at least $1.00."

If you save a draft and a ticked license has no price yet, it's saved as not offered.

Sales and licenses

When you run a sale with Original price, Esano marks Commercial and Extended down by the same percentage. See set a price and run a sale.
