Where your review appears on Esano

Your review is public. It appears under "Reviews for this item" on the listing page, and your stars count toward the ratings shown on item cards and the shop page.

On the listing page

Each listing with at least one review has a Reviews for this item section. It shows:

• The average rating out of 5 stars, the number of reviews and a breakdown of how many reviews gave each star rating.
• Each review with the buyer's name and profile photo, the date, the stars, the written text and the photo if there is one.
• A "Verified purchase" label with the license the buyer bought, such as "Personal license".
• The shop's reply, if the shop wrote one.

A note above the list says, "Every review is from a verified buyer." See who can leave a review.

Sort and load more reviews

Use the Sort reviews menu to switch between Most recent, Highest rated and Lowest rated. The page shows 10 reviews at a time. Select Show more reviews to load the next ones.

Reviewer photos

Select a photo thumbnail on a review to see it larger.

On item cards and shop pages

Once a listing has a review, its card in search results and on shop pages shows stars with the number of reviews in parentheses. A shop's page also shows an overall rating at the top, such as "4.8" with the total review count. A listing or shop with no reviews shows no stars. See how star ratings are calculated.

Listing pages may also pass the average rating to search engines, so stars can appear in search results. They only do this when the listing has reviews, and the numbers match what's on the page.

Your name and photo

• The name on your review is your first name when you posted it. Without a first name, it shows as "Esano buyer".
• The picture next to it is your current profile photo. If you remove your photo, the review shows an initial instead.

You can change your name or update your profile photo in your account settings. To see what a shop can learn about you, read what sellers can see about you.

In your own account

In Purchases and reviews, an item you've reviewed shows your stars and "You reviewed this", with an Edit review button. Items you haven't reviewed yet appear under To review.

Seller dashboard

Shop owners and team members with access can see reviews in the Reviews page of their dashboard, and they can reply to or report a review.

Removing your review

You can edit your review for 60 days, or delete it at any time. Deleting takes it off the listing and out of the ratings.
