Change your name on Esano

To change your name, open Account settings, enter a new First name in the Your name row and select Save. Esano's account name is a first name only.

Change your first name

1. Sign in to esano.com.
2. Open the account menu in the site header and select Account settings.
3. On the Account tab, find the Your name row.
4. Type your new name in First name.
5. Select Save.

When it works, you see "Name saved." and your new name appears in the account menu.

What you might see instead

• "Enter your first name." The field was empty. Type a name and select Save again.
• "That's already your name." The name you typed matches the one on your account, so nothing changed.
• "Something went wrong. Please try again." The save didn't go through. Wait a moment and try again.

Where your name shows up

Your first name appears:

• In your account menu in the site header.
• On reviews you write.
• To shops you message. A shop owner sees your first name in a message, for example in an email titled "New message from {your name}". See what sellers can see about you.

Your first name is not your shop's name. If you sell on Esano, your shop name and details are managed in your Seller hub. See find and change your shop settings.

Name length

The field accepts up to 80 characters, but Esano shows only the first 40 characters of your name. A short first name works best.

If your account shows part of your email

If no first name is saved, Esano shows the part of your email address before the @ sign wherever it shows your name. For example, maria.lopez@example.com shows as "maria.lopez". Enter a first name in Your name to replace it.
