Esano password requirements

An Esano password needs at least 8 characters. You set one when you register, and you can change it any time in your security settings.

The rules

• Use at least 8 characters.
• When you set a new password, enter it twice. The two entries must match.
• When you change your password, choose one that's different from your current one.

You can also skip passwords and sign in with an email code at any time.

Where you set a password

You enter a password in three places:

• Register: the Password field, which shows the hint "At least 8 characters". See create an Esano account.
• Account settings → Security: the New password and Confirm password fields. See change your password.
• Set a new password (after Forgot your password?): the New password and Confirm new password fields. See reset a forgotten password.

Choose a strong password

Esano's rule is only a minimum. A longer password is safer. These habits help:

• Use a password you don't use anywhere else.
• Use a password manager so you don't have to remember it.
• Avoid names, birthdays and simple patterns that someone could guess.

If you've forgotten your password

You don't need your old password to get back in. Reset it with a 6-digit code or sign in with an email code.
