To change a role, go to Settings → Team, open the ··· menu on the person's row and choose Change role. Only the shop owner can do this.
Change someone's role
- Go to Settings → Team.
- On the person's row, open the menu (the ··· button, labeled "Manage" and their first name).
- Select Change role.
- Pick Manager, Listings or Support. Each option has a short description.
- Select Change role.
You will see a confirmation such as "Sam is now Support." The Change role button stays disabled until you pick a different role than the current one.
When it takes effect
The new access applies to their next click in the seller hub. If someone is working while you make the change, the sections they can open update right away on their next action. Nothing needs to be accepted.
Payouts and the team stay with you whatever role you pick. A Manager can run most of the shop but never sees payouts, bank or tax details, or invites and removes people.
Pick the right role
- Manager: Day-to-day running of the shop, including refunds and shop settings.
- Listings: Listings and listing stats only. No orders, messages or buyer details.
- Support: Messages, orders, reviews and custom orders. No refunds and no listings.

Is the change recorded?
Yes. The activity log shows a line such as "changed Sam's role from Listings to Support", with who made the change. See see what your shop team has done. The person isn't sent an email about the change.
What if I only want someone to stop working on the shop?
Use Remove from shop instead. See remove someone from your shop team.
Why can't I change my own role?
The owner row has no menu. You are always the Owner, and ownership can't be transferred. See shop team limits and ownership.
Common questions
When does a new role take effect?
It applies to the person's next click in the seller hub. They don't need to sign out.
Can I make someone a second owner?
No. Member roles are Manager, Listings and Support. Payouts and the team always stay with the shop owner.
