The $3 cart minimum

To check out, the paid items in your cart must add up to at least $3 across all shops. The total is checked before tax.

What you will see

If your paid items total less than $3, the Check out button stays off. The drawer shows a note such as "Add $1.50 more to check out. $3.00 minimum." with the amount you still need.

If checkout starts and finds your total is short anyway, it stops with "Add $1.50 more to check out. Esano has a $3.00 cart minimum." The amount in the message is the gap in your own cart.

How the minimum is counted

• Whole cart, not per shop. Items from every shop count together. A $1 item from one shop and a $2 item from another meet the minimum.
• Before tax. Tax is not added when Esano checks your total. Learn how sales tax is shown at checkout.
• Paid items only. Free items count as $0, so they never help you reach $3.
• Item prices. Paid listings start at $1.00, so a cart with a single $1 item can't check out on its own.

Ways to reach $3

1. Select Keep shopping to close the drawer.
2. Add another paid item from any shop. Files under $10 are an easy place to look.
3. Open your cart drawer again. When the Subtotal is $3 or more, Check out turns on.

You can also choose a different license on an item you already have. A Commercial or Extended license costs more than Personal when the shop offers it. See license types explained.

If your cart has free items

Free items don't count toward the minimum, but you don't need to reach $3 to get them. When your paid items fall short and your cart has free items, the drawer offers Claim free items separately. Follow how to claim free downloads.
