Too many checkout attempts

Updated

Esano limits how many times checkout can start in a short time. If you see "Too many checkout attempts. Wait 10 minutes and try again.", wait 10 minutes and try again.

Why Esano has this limit

The limit protects buyers and shops from people who test stolen cards. It applies to every account and every internet connection.

What counts as an attempt

Each time you start one of these, it counts toward the limit:

  • Selecting Check out in your cart drawer
  • Selecting Claim free downloads or Claim free items separately
  • Selecting Accept and pay on a custom order quote (see accept and pay for a custom order)

Attempts that stop early, such as a cart that is short of the minimum, can still count once you are signed in.

What to do

  1. Close the cart drawer.
  2. Wait 10 minutes.
  3. Open the cart drawer and select Check out again.

Your cart is saved while you wait. Nothing is charged, and no order is created for an attempt that was blocked.

If you share a network

Limits are tracked for your account and for your internet connection. On a shared network, such as an office, school or public Wi-Fi, many people's attempts can add up. If you hit the limit without trying many times, wait 10 minutes or switch to a different connection, such as mobile data.

Still blocked after waiting?

Common questions

How long do I have to wait?

Wait 10 minutes, then try again. Your cart stays as it is.

Why did I see this message after only one try?

Attempts are counted for your account and also for your internet connection. If other people on the same network are checking out too, the connection can reach its limit.
