Which states are listed
Esano's privacy policy says residents of these states have, now or in the future, rights under state consumer privacy laws: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Virginia.
The exact rights vary by state.
Rights you may have
Depending on your state, you may be able to:
- Confirm whether Esano processes your personal information.
- Access and delete certain personal information.
- Correct inaccuracies in your personal information. This right does not apply in Iowa or Utah.
- Get your information in a portable format (data portability).
- Opt out of processing for:
- Targeted advertising (not in Iowa).
- Sales of personal information.
- Profiling that leads to legal or similarly significant decisions about you (not in Iowa or Utah).
- Limit, or require your consent for, use of sensitive personal data.
How to make a request
- Email customerservice@esano.com, or call 888-463-7051.
- Say which right you want to use. For example: "Please delete my personal information" or "Please send me a copy of my information."
- Include your state of residence and the email address on your Esano account.
For opting out specifically, read opt out of tracking and advertising sharing. For ordinary access, correction or deletion, see get a copy of your data or correct it and delete your account. You can also change many details yourself in your account settings.
The policy does not give a response deadline or list what Esano may ask you to prove.
Appeal a decision
If Esano declines or limits your request:
- Email customerservice@esano.com.
- Say you are appealing, and refer to your original request.
- Explain why you disagree.
Nevada residents
Nevada gives residents a limited right to opt out of certain sales of personal information. Send a request to customerservice@esano.com. The policy says Esano does not currently sell data that triggers Nevada's opt-out requirements.
