What Trending means on Esano

Trending is a ranked list of files shoppers have recently bought, added to their carts, saved to favorites or reviewed. To see it, click Categories in the header, then Trending now, or open esano.com/trending.

Open the Trending page

1. Click Categories next to the search bar.
2. In the Browse list, click Trending now.

The page is called Trending digital downloads. Files are shown with the highest-ranked first.

How files are ranked

Each file earns points from what shoppers do with it:

• Buying it
• Adding it to a cart
• Saving it to favorites
• Reviewing it

Recent activity counts for much more than old activity. Points fade over a couple of weeks, so a file that was popular last month slowly slides down, and a file people want right now moves up.

A few rules keep the list fair:

• New listings get a short boost when they're first published, which fades within about a week.
• No shop appears more than twice in a row, so one shop can't fill the page.
• A seller's own purchases and favorites don't count, and each person counts once per file.
• Refunded purchases lose their points.
• Only files that are currently for sale count. Shops on vacation stay off Trending until they're back.

How often it updates

The ranking is recalculated every hour. If nothing has been ranked yet, the page shows the newest files instead.

What you can do on the page

Trending shows the top 1,000 files, 48 per page, and more load as you scroll. Use All filters to narrow by file type, category, price, resolution or sales, and the Sort menu to change the order. Choosing Most relevant keeps the Trending ranking. See Filter files by type, price and resolution.
