Real Esano emails come from an address that ends in @updates.esano.com and show "Esano" as the sender name. Check the full address, not just the name, before you click anything.
Which address sends which email
| Sender | What it sends |
|---|---|
no-reply@updates.esano.com |
Account codes: confirming your email, resetting your password and signing in with a code |
messages@updates.esano.com |
Message alerts, such as "{shop} replied to your message" or "New message from {name}" |
orders@updates.esano.com |
Order receipts, sale notices, refund updates, custom order updates and download links |
hello@updates.esano.com |
Shop team invitations, notices that a person joined your team, and seller balance notices such as "Your bank payout needs attention" |
The part after the @ must be exactly updates.esano.com. Watch for lookalikes such as esano-support.com, updates.esano.com.example.net or esano.com with a swapped letter.
Support is different. You write to Esano support at customerservice@esano.com, and that address is on esano.com, not updates.esano.com. When you're unsure about an email, forward it there. Nothing reads replies sent to the updates.esano.com addresses, and a reply to a message email doesn't post a message.
Keep Esano emails out of spam
Add updates.esano.com to your safe senders list, or mark one Esano email as "not spam". This matters most for sign-in codes, which expire after 10 minutes. If a code didn't arrive, see My Esano code or email didn't arrive.
What real emails look like
- Account codes include a six-digit code. They say Esano will never ask you for the code. Subjects look like "Confirm your email with this code", "Reset your Esano password with this code" and "Your Esano sign-in code".
- Receipts have the subject "Your Esano receipt for order {order number}" and link to your purchases.
- Message alerts show an excerpt of the message and a link to the conversation. You can't reply to the email itself to post a message. To answer, open the conversation on Esano.
- Refund and custom order emails use the sender
orders@updates.esano.comand name the shop and the order. For what each email says, see Emails you get from Esano as a buyer and Emails you get from Esano as a seller.
You can turn message alerts off in your account settings. See Turn off Esano emails, including message emails for what you can control.
Check a link before you click
- Hover over the button or link (or press and hold it on a phone) to see where it goes.
- Make sure the web address starts with
https://esano.com/. - If it goes somewhere else, don't open it. Go to esano.com yourself and sign in there.
Links in Esano emails take you to pages on esano.com, such as your purchases or a conversation. When you pay, you pay on a Stripe checkout page that opens from your Esano cart. After you pay, you land back on esano.com. Stripe may also send its own emails about payments or seller payouts, depending on its settings.
Emails Esano doesn't send
Esano isn't set up to send newsletters, abandoned-cart reminders, price-drop or new-listing alerts, or a welcome email after you confirm your account. An email like that is not from Esano, even if it uses our logo.
Esano's account emails tell you not to share your sign-in code, and Esano's message screen tells you never to share passwords or payment details. For the full list, see What Esano will never ask you for.
If an email looks wrong
- Don't click links or open attachments.
- Don't reply with any personal details.
- Read How to spot phishing and scam messages for more warning signs.
- Forward the email to
customerservice@esano.com, or use Contact Esano support. - If you already entered your password on a page you doubt, follow What to do if your account was taken over.
