Find and manage your messages

Open Your account → Messages to see every conversation you've had with a shop. Each shop gets one conversation, with the newest at the top.

Open your inbox

1. Click your photo at the top right of Esano to open the account menu.
2. Click Messages.

A number next to Messages in the menu means you have unread conversations. You can also go straight to esano.com/account/messages.

Read a conversation

Click any row to open it. The row shows the shop's name, a preview of the latest message, and the time. A preview that starts with "You:" means your message was the latest one. If a conversation started from a listing, the listing is linked next to the message.

Long conversations load the newest messages first. Click Load earlier messages to see older ones. The side panel has a Visit shop link and shows how quickly the shop usually replies.

Tell what's unread

An unread conversation has a dot next to its time. Opening a conversation marks it read.

To change that yourself:

1. Tick the box next to one or more conversations.
2. Click Mark read or Mark unread in the toolbar.

Inside a conversation, Mark unread takes you back to your inbox and keeps it unread.

Use folders

Folders sit on the left. On a phone, use the folder menu at the top of the page.

• Inbox: conversations you haven't archived.
• Unread: conversations with a message you haven't opened.
• Starred: conversations you starred.
• Sent: conversations where you wrote a message.
• Archived: conversations you archived or reported. See Archive a conversation.

To star a conversation, click the star on its row, or Star conversation inside the conversation. Stars and archives are private to you.

Search your messages

Type in Search your messages and press Enter. Esano finds conversations where a message contains your words or where the shop's name matches. Each page lists up to 50 conversations. Use the arrows next to Newer conversations and Older conversations to move between pages.

What you can do from the toolbar

After you tick one or more conversations, the toolbar offers Archive, Mark unread, Mark read and Report. See Report a conversation for what reporting does.

New messages appear in your inbox without reloading the page. To also get an email, see Get an email when a shop replies.
